What can a teen do at Whistler Village? Over spring break, I will be travelling to Whistler, B.C for a week-long snowboarding trip. We are going to be staying in the Whistler village area (at least I think that's what it's called). I know that most of my time will be taken up by the many snowboarding terrains the mountains have to offer, but I don't know what to do other than that. I was looking at a map of the village, and there appears to be at least ten of everything (resturants, places to hang out, etc). If anyone's been to Whistler before, can you please tell me what Whistler village has to offer for a teenager. I would like to know what you think the best places are to go. how to break up the vacation? Hi, I am going on a tip to Japan... we will arrive in Osaka on the 13th of October and leave from Tokyo on 31st of October. We will stay first in Osaka right now planning on staying 5 nights... while staying in Osaka, we will do a one day tour of Kyoto with a tour group. We also want to do 1-day visits to Nara Would a total of 6 days (5 nights) in Osaka be long enough? then we are planning on going to Nagoya for just 1 night so we can visit Italian Village and the Tokyo Museum, but may just do a day trip from Osaka to stay in Osaka for a total of 7 days. then we are planning on going to Tokyo for the rest of the stay but take the train to do a one-day trips to Yokohama, Hakone, and probably Nikko. Then I know there is lots to do in Tokyo. So that is why we chose to stay in Tokyo for 12 days. does this sound like a good plan? or should we stay in Osaka a day or two longer? any suggestions will be appreciated. oops I meant going on a "trip" to Japan, not tip LOL

The answer is "YES" because the Shi'ites won't give their blood enemy a drop of oil and the minority Sunnis and Kurds will not live under the majority Shi'ites. Montgomery Ward Christmas village set, post WWII? I've got this old, pressed paper Christmas village set that my dad found at a garage sale a few years ago. Personally, I love it. I'm just curious to know if it might be worth anything. Here's what I know about it: -Dad thinks it's from the early 1950s, but he's not sure, and there's no date on the box. -original box. Plain brown cardboard bottom, and the lid is red and white stripped with a dark green label printed on it that says "Lighted Village Deluxe, Made Exclusivly for Montgomery Ward". Box is a bit rough around the edges- what looks like a water stain on the bottom, and all four corners of the lid are split. -Whole set is there- 8 houses, the church, a mansion/village hall, 12 pine cone snow men, and judging by the plug, I think it's got the original lights. All in perfect condition- none of the windows are broken, colors are all bright. Doesn't even look like it's been taken out of the box. Anyone here have an idea what it might be worth, if anything? How can I help the local house martins? There are house martins that visit our area every year although it seems to me that they are becoming less. There was one nest in the village (as far as I could see) that was used several years in a row but recently it was broken down. Fortunately I saw no blood or dead birds underneath so I think that the young must have all fledged by the time the next was broken. No new nests seem to have been built. There are no nests on our block of flats although there are traces of old nests that may have been there in years gone by. I would like to encourage the house martins by providing some mud next year. (Note that I cannot use the commercial bird boxes). Our soil is very sandy, so it tends to crumble when dry. Is there a "recipe" for the "ideal" mud mixture? Also, it is difficult to provide food for house martins as they chase flying insects in the air. Is there anyone out there that had success with providing food supplements for their house martins? Any advice is much appreciated.

Eventually, my parents knew that I'm not gonna let him go so they brought me back to America. In America, I went on this website called orkut.com(it's like an Indian myspace) and I found his friends and they gave me his e-mail address. We started e-mailing each other....my dad found out and he threatened me again that he'd get my bf killed. So we didn't e-mail each other. After a while, we got back in-touch. Then after sometime, I started feeling guilty about doing all this behind my parent's back so I lied to my bf and told him that my dad found out again. So we stopped talking to each other. But then, I went into depression and have anxiety and social phobia so we started talking again because I'm not happy when I don't talk to him. When I called him, he was really angry and asked me if I would ever leave him again? I said "I don't care wat my parents say anymore. one mobile village help? my problems started in august last year when they sent me two mobile phones wich I returned immediatly via special delivery they said that the phones where broken so I launched a complaint with royal mail to no joy. I have wrote several letters and had no reply. The best bit is orange have been sending me bills saying that the phones are active and beeing well used whilst still in my name. So one moblie village have sent them on to the next customer. What do I do about these bills????

Has anyone out there ever broken their back in a riding accident? My horse got spooked yesterday&bolted, he was galloping at full speed jumped a 5 bar wooden gate (he's never jumped in his life, got alot of scope me thinks!!). I couldn't pull him up I tried heading him towards the stables&it seemed like he was going to actually jump into a closed box with a horse in it. I managed to change his direction but couldn't slow him down. Thats when he went flying over the gate, I lost my stirrup&he went tairing through the village. He jumped up a big mound (still at flat out gallop)&started bucking&as I had no stirrups I lost my balance it was game over. Luckily I landed on moist grass, he was fine&was caught by a friend. Anyway I have broken a vertabre in 2 places&crushed another one both in my lumbar reigion, I was wondering if anyone has done anything similar, how long you were out of the saddle for. I'm expecting not to ride for 3months. My orthopedic seurgion said I am at risk of both vertabres collapsing if I'm not carefull! I went to see him earlier to feed and check him over, I think it was just one of those things I will eventually get back in the saddle my confidence has taken a knock but i'll get back in the saddle. I realised how lucky I was when I realised that I could move my toes and feet I was so relieved I knew I did a proper job. Bloody hurts like hell!! Thanks for the advise so far. P.S. I'm 24 years old and will definatly be getting better brakes for my horse!! Hi Reckless Red Head thanks for the info, I already know how to half halt though, it's very hard to do that in mid air on a bucking bronco whilst jumping a 5 bar gate!! Honestly I trien everything and it did not work. He took the bit in between his teeth and legged it! I've been riding for 22 1/2 years and everyone used to get me to ride there nut cases and youngsters so there isn't alot that I havent come across or tried on a bolting horse. When they bolt it's just there instinct to run away from the threat thats what he did and he wasn't stopping for love nor money!! I told my Surgeon that I wasn't wearing my body protector and he said because of the way I fell it would not have made alot of difference because my the top of my spine was first forced down on my lumbar region and then I some how ended up landing sat up so it had double the impact and fractured a vertabre in two places and crushed another one. Christmas village merry-go-round? My neice has a miniature Christmas village, and while we were putting it up, I accidentally dropped the merry-go-round and broke it. I told her I would find a replacement but I'm having trouble finding one as smal as hers, it stood less than 6" high. Does anybody know of anyplace to find a similar one, I've tried walmart where she got them a few years ago, but they no longer carry the miniature villages, any help would be appreciated.
